We All Belong
1308 Lincoln St, Kewaunee, WI
An interior mural for Kewaunee County services, painted in collaboration with Morgen Mocco. Four hands of different colors — one wrapped in a bandage, one tattooed with love — reach in from the edges to fit together a puzzle-globe, and at its center sits the Kewaunee lighthouse, the county’s own landmark, holding the world together. We All Belong.
Around it, the studio’s whimsy keeps the message from ever turning into a lecture: a cow piloting a UFO, a rainbow trout riding a rocket, little planets drifting through a deep blue starfield. It’s a serious idea — that a community is something everyone builds a piece of — delivered with warmth and a wink, so it meets a visitor where they are. We love making art about a more inclusive Kewaunee County, and we’re grateful for the chance to put this one on the wall.
