We are giving this old beauty new life.

We are giving this old beauty new life. Originally painted on 312 Steele Street which was erected in 1913 by August Katt and Son, their 2 story building’s front was divided into 2 stores, a music store and garage. In 1915 Victrolas, Ambrolas and sewing machines were advertised. Charles (C.A.) Guth purchased the businesses in 1919. At some point between 1919 and 1925 the mural or at that time it was an advertisement was painted on the building marketing Guth Music and Sonora (clear as a bell) Victrolas. Watch our progress over the next week. Thank you ArtBeet Inc for leading the project. Thank you Algoma Utilities, Nicolet Bank, the CDC and Nancy Riley and other private sponsors for investing in the preservation of culture. It is going to be cool.
