This mural is a little hard to document. It is worthwhile to take a stroll below the Main Street Bridge in Downtown Green Bay to check out this beautiful collaboration. The mural was sponsored by the Ho-Chunk Nation and represents artwork by Ho-Chunk artist, Ken Lewis, depicting their 12 clans. The Ho-Chunk are one of two of the First Nations of Wisconsin with an oral history that places their origin village at Móogašuc, or the Red Banks, located approximately 12 miles north of this site along the banks of Green Bay. We had the awesome opportunity to help bring this mural to life with the help of over 300 painters. Area residents and visitors, including members of the Ho-Chunk Tribe, joined together to paint this community mural during Downtown Green Bay, Inc.’s 2nd Annual ArtFest Green Bay. Big thank you to David Carpenter and Wes Krumpos for being part of the team for this big project. We ❤ it.
